Continue to work on Study Island at home on Internet--both Reading/ELA
Announcement to students and parents: I have decided to do something different. We will be in the computer lab five more times. What I think would be best is for the student to work on Eagle WHILE IN COMPUTER LAB ONLY. I am not going to be concerned about whether or not they FINISH Eagle, but he or she MUST finish Study Island (and the student can do that at home or in the library). I will give an observation grade for 20 points each day we are in the lab working on Eagle. The rubric is as follows:
Student was in the lab on time (Feb. 23/Mar 6/Mar 8/ Mar 13/Mar 15) ____(5 pts.)
Student IMMEDIATELY began working as soon as he/she came in the room ____(5 pts.)
Student worked diligently with no obvious waste of time the entire class period _____(5 pts.)
Student worked from bell to bell (NO 2-minute warning stop) No bathroom or water trips unless an emergency _____(5 pts)
Total: 20 pts x 5 = 100 pts.
Students DO NOT need to print out Eagle worksheets, but I DO want a printout of Study Island score sheets for 100 points by March 15 at the end of the class lab period. Half credit on Mar 16. No exceptions!!
Thanks,
Mrs. Parrish
